Born in a tiny village of Malsa, District Ghazipur, in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Roy, has had an eventful life and career. His father, Late Shri Awadh Narain Rai was a revolutionary and active participator in the Indian Freedom Struggle movement. Was imprisoned and suffered physical torture that led to his early demise in 1948. Four years later the mother expired, leaving behind three children - two boys & a girl. This led to a shift in the location and education from Urban to Rural India. These were years of impression and character build up that has lasted throughout.
Education : Higher education was done at Benaras Hindu University where he obtained a degree in B.Sc. (Honours) in Physics and B.Sc. (Engineering). He also had a special course at Templeton College, Oxford University, London.
Service : Service Career has been chequered, starting as a Lecturer in the University, to Governments, Public & Private sectors, including a stint as United Nations (Advisor) under UNDP. Considerable years of overseas assignment were spent in Africa. Cause of Africa and Rural India are close and passionate.
The creation of the Trust is an effort to facilitate fulfilment of the unfinished task to the extent possible.

Mrs. Roy is an accomplished social worker with natural management skill. She has been associated with various Social and Cultural activities. She held positions as Vice President of India Women's Association in Tanzania & Nigeria.
Her leadership qualities and sensivity to the cause of the under privileged was conspicuous during an Election campaign in 2009, when she so passionately related to the poorest of the poor with utmost case and mutual comfort.
She moved and mobilized them and won the trust of the masses in a manner many would envy. Tasks she undertakes, she goes to full details and gets totally involved. Trust stands to benefit immensely through her scanny eye, experience and attitude.
